Get out there and see your country!

Here was our plan today:
  • Students entered and began to write down at least one of the stories they learned about their family history from the night before. Mr. M collected these and then read them. Students guessed who they were.
  • We reviewed the History Pre-Test.
  • Mr. M handed out the maps to students to use for the Geography unit. We also began our whirlwind tour of the United States - Alaska and the Pacific states first!

Today's agenda:
  • Began with students presenting their responses to the question, "Was Dr. King's work and sacrifice all done in vain?"
  • Transitioned into what this class is all about - stories! Stories like Dr. MLK Jr.'s story.
  • Discussion about primary and secondary sources.
  • Mr. M shared an example of a story from each category - Mermaids in Newfoundland and my Grandpa
  • Students took the way-too-easy American History Pre-Test!

Perhaps this is what "attacked" those men in Newfoundland?
